![]()
The Kurt A. De Witt Memorial Playground came into being in 1998 as a result of the generous gifts of scores of friends and family in memory of Kurt De Witt who was killed in 1997 by a drunk driver. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Marvel De Witt and brother of Amy De Witt Mahaffey. Mrs. De Witt was a longtime kindergarten teacher at CCA and Amy is a 1992 alumna. Kurt had a unique gift of encouragement and was loved by children.
