Amherst Symphony Orchestra Chooses Nathaniel Jacobs’ Artwork
Congratulations to sophomore Nathaniel Jacobs whose whimsical entry (shown left) for Amherst Symphony Orchestra’s annual contest to design the Christmas program cover won first place. Each year the orchestra chooses one school in the Amherst area from which to receive entries for this contest. CCA high school art teacher, Mrs. Julie Fallin had her Drawing and Painting class design 54 entries for the orchestra’s consideration. All entries were on display at the orchestra’s Christmas concert December 6, where Nathaniel was recognized as the winner and awarded a $50 savings bond, presented by the orchestra association board president, Mr. Anthony L. Latona, pictured on the left. With Nathaniel are Mrs. Fallin and CCA Head of School, Mrs. Nurline Lawrence.
