The Parent-Teacher Organization is a vital part of the school community giving every CCA parent an avenue of service and support for the school. Every parent or guardian of a child enrolled at CCA is a member of the school’s PTO.
The group meets regularly and functions under a set of by-laws with officers elected annually to provide oversight for service and support activities, such as:
- Several fundraisers, including a fall food booth at an annual local “Pumpkin Festival” on Main Street (Route 5) in Newstead, NY.
- Fall and spring “Spruce Up Days”
- Clothes Connection - selling gently used dress code clothing and CCA logo items and apparel (polo shirts, sweatshirts, and long and short sleeved t-shirts) are on sale in the Clothes Connection. Proceeds go toward the Sports Booster Club to provide equipments an supplies for CCA sports teams. (*See below)
- Refreshments at Open Houses and special concerts
- Appreciation breakfasts/luncheons for faculty/staff
- Moms-in-Touch weekly prayer gathering to liftup the school before the Lord, culminating in the annual “God’s Hand on CCA” evening of praise and thanksgiving for God’s faithfulness to CCA throughout the year.
- Collection of redeemable items (Campbell’s “Labels for Education” and General Mills “BoxTops for Education”) for cash and school equipment.
- and many, many more ways for your involvement

Cafeteria Monitors: needed daily for at least three parent volunteers to serve in the first (grade K-2) and second (grades 3-5 ) lunch periods. This is a great way to see your children, provide much-needed supervision for our student and nourish our teachers by giving them a lunch break. Serve once a week, every other week, once a month, once a quarter or on a substitute basis. Contact Mrs. Nancy Mayer, monitors coordinator, for more details.
