Community Service
As part of the school’s overall goal to helpstudents “grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man,” all CCA students in 6th - 12th grade are required to earn Community Service hours as a component of their Bible class responsibilities.
Activities the student may pursue are very broad. The student may creatively serve neighbors, in his or her church, community, or with a parachurch organization. The school also regularly makes available various service opportunities, such a “Adopt-A-Highway” Roadside Cleanup Teams and Open House student tour guides.
Students may bring up to five community service hours into any new school year toward their requirement. (Failure to complete the required number of hours each year results in a 10 point reduction in the final Bible grade.)
