Mrs. Karen Jones
Mrs. Karen Jones has been a part of the Christian Central Academy family since 2011, when she and her husband enrolled their son in kindergarten. He graduated with the class of 2024, and their two daughters are currently thriving in CCA’s high school. Over the years, Karen’s deep love for the school and commitment to Christian education have been evident through her service on the CCA Board of Directors, first as secretary for two years and then as Board President for three years.
Karen grew up on a cattle ranch in southeastern Colorado, where hard work and perseverance were modeled and expected daily. Raised by parents who loved the Lord and valued Christian education, Karen was blessed to attend a small K-12 Christian school nearby. She later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and a Master’s in Piano Performance from a Christian university, equipping her with both academic excellence and a heart for ministry through arts.
After she received her advanced degree, she married her husband of 26 years, Josh. Following this, she spent several years teaching in the music departments of Bob Jones University, Furman University, and Charleston Southern University. In 2006, the Lord moved her and her family to New York.
Upon arriving in Buffalo, Karen and her family became members of Faith Fellowship Church in Clarence. It was there that Karen first met Mrs. Nurline Lawrence, CCA’s Head of School from 1998-2015 and was introduced to Christian Central Academy.
In the spring of 2025, after much prayer, Karen accepted the Board of Directors’ invitation to serve as Interim Head of School for the 2025-2026 academic year. With a heart for discipleship and a deep love for the CCA community, she looks forward to using her God-given gifts to lead and support the school during this season of transition.
Her story is a beautiful example of God’s providence and preparation, weaving together family, faith, and education for such a time as this. Under Karen’s leadership, we trust that CCA will continue to flourish and nurture students to grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
