Week At A Glance – October 21, 2022

Hello CCA Families!

The CCA Dog House at the Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence will be wrapping up these last two weekends in October. The final football game of the season is tomorrow at 2pm on the Cardinal O’Hara home field. Quarter one for this school year wraps up next Wednesday, October 26.

There has been some confusion about Dress Down Fridays. Sweatpants are not allowed. Black CCA joggers purchased from the PTO Campus Store are allowed. Dr. Montoro has approved the PreK-2nd grade to wear their own plain black “jogger” on dress down days until the PTO can come up with a replacement garment due to sizing issues.

A “jogger” is a fitted pant with a wide cuffed band at the ankle. Grades 3-12 can wear a CCA jogger or other approved bottom options (jeans or pants). Leggings are allowed on any day, including dress down days, as along as they are worn under skirts, jumpers or dresses.

Please refer to the Student/Parent Handbook housed right on the CCA Portal for further descriptions of Dress Code appropriate apparel (pages 25-28) or bookmark this link https://issuu.com/christiancentralacademy/docs/ccahandbook for a searchable document. The last day to wear shorts to school will be Monday, October 31.

As much as we want to hold on to the warmer temperatures, ski season is approaching. The deadline for Ski Club is November 1. Can you believe November is 11 days away? The WAAG has many other events to make your Fall transition enjoyable as well as everything coming up at school next week that you won’t want to miss!
